NCT ID: NCT06039306 Not yet recruiting - Elective Surgery Clinical Trials

Perioperative Immunonutrition Under Enhanced Recovery After Surgery

PING-ERAS
Start date: June 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the effect of perioperative immunonutrition supplement in gynecologic cancer patients. The main questions it aims to answer are: - is there any difference in the nutritional outcomes and functional outcomes between intervention and conventional groups? - is there any difference in the post-surgical outcomes between intervention and conventional groups? Participants (intervention) will be provided the immunonutrition supplement before and after operation. Researchers will compare intervention group with conventional group to see if there is any difference in postoperative outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT06036836 Recruiting - Solid Tumor Clinical Trials

Study of Favezelimab Coformulated With Pembrolizumab (MK-4280A) in Participants With Selected Solid Tumors (MK-4280A-010)

Start date: September 29, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate pathological complete response (pCR) rate of coformulated favezelimab/pembrolizumab (MK-4280A) or pembrolizumab as assessed by blinded central pathology review (BICR) in participants with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) [Cohort A] and to evaluate lenvatinib in combination with coformulated favezelimab/pembrolizumab or pembrolizumab with respect to objective response rate (ORR) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) 1.1 as assessed by investigator in participants proficient in mismatch repair (pMMR) endometrial cancer (EC) [Cohort B].

NCT ID: NCT06034743 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Resistant Hypertension

A Study to Investigate the Efficacy and Safety of Baxdrostat in Participants With Uncontrolled Hypertension on Two or More Medications Including Participants With Resistant Hypertension

BaxHTN
Start date: November 22, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase III, multicentre, randomised, double-blinded, placebo-controlled, parallel group study to evaluate the safety, tolerability and effect of 1 or 2 mg baxdrostat versus placebo, administered once daily (QD) orally, on the reduction of systolic blood pressure in approximately 720 participants aged ≥ 18 years with hypertension, despite a stable regimen of 2 antihypertensive agents at baseline, one of which is a diuretic (uncontrolled hypertension); or ≥ 3 antihypertensive agents at baseline, one of which is a diuretic (treatment-resistant hypertension).

NCT ID: NCT06027736 Recruiting - Allergic Rhinitis Clinical Trials

The Effectiveness of Pharmacist-led Educational Model in Patients With Allergic Rhinitis

AR-PRISE
Start date: June 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Allergic rhinitis is a chronic respiratory disorder affecting patients' quality of life and work performance. Pharmacists are identified as suitable professionals to deliver patient education and pharmaceutical care in managing allergic rhinitis (AR) patients. Local clinical practice guidelines in Malaysia are lacking, especially in pharmaceutical care in public healthcare institutions. This study protocol describes a randomised control trial (RCT) that aims to determine the effectiveness of a pharmacist-led educational model in managing AR (AR-PRISE Model) compared to standard pharmaceutical care. The AR-PRISE model delivers patient educational material (video) and an algorithm for pharmaceutical care.

NCT ID: NCT06025578 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Progressive Pulmonary Fibrosis

A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability of BMS-986278 in Participants With Progressive Pulmonary Fibrosis

Start date: October 25, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of BMS-986278 in Participants with Progressive Pulmonary Fibrosis.

NCT ID: NCT06021717 Completed - Ketamine Clinical Trials

PCA Ketamine-Morphine VS PCA Morphine as Post-Operative Analgesia in Colorectal Surgery

Start date: April 5, 2018
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the effectiveness of PCA ketamine-morphine versus conventional PCA morphine in postoperative patients undergoing elective laparotomy colorectal surgery under general anaesthesia. The specific objectives are: 1. To compare the post-operative analgesic requirement with PCA ketamine-morphine in comparison with PCA morphine. 2. To compare the postoperative pain scores between PCA ketamine-morphine and PCA morphine. 3. To assess patients' overall satisfaction with PCA ketamine-morphine in comparison with PCA morphine. 4. To study the incidence of side effects of PCA ketamine-morphine in comparison with PCA morphine. Participants will be screened and recruited at pre-anaesthetic clinic (PAC). Those who consented will be taught to use PCA machine and the potential side effects of the study drugs. They will be randomly allocated into either Group A or Group B by computer generated randomization a day before planned surgery. Researchers will compare Group A and Group B to see post-operative pain scores, patients' overall satisfaction and any incidence of side effects.

NCT ID: NCT06013969 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Generalized Pustular Psoriasis

A Study to Test Whether Spesolimab Helps People With Generalized Pustular Psoriasis (GPP) Who Need Treatment for Repeated Flares

Start date: October 11, 2023
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study is open to adults with a serious skin disease called generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) who have repeated flares of GPP. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called spesolimab helps people with repeated flares of GPP. Participants are given a single dose of spesolimab as an infusion into a vein on the first day of an outbreak of GPP. They may be given a second dose 1 week later if doctors think it is helpful. They are also treated for additional GPP flares. During the time of the study, doctors regularly examine participants' skin for signs of GPP to see how well the treatment works and take blood samples. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.
