There are about 1447 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Croatia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Our study will include consecutive patients undergoing pulsed field ablation (PFA) or cryoballoon (CBA) ablation. Tissue injury and inflammation markers will be measured before and after the procedure.
This study will evaluate the efficacy of two dosing regimens of adagrasib (600 mg BID versus 400 mg BID) in patients with NSCLC with KRAS G12C mutation.
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is an immune-mediated disease associated with inflammation of multiple organ systems. This study will assess how safe and effective upadacitinib is in treating adult participants with moderately to severely active SLE. Adverse events and change in the disease activity will be assessed. Upadacitinib is an approved drug for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and axial spondylarthritis and is being developed for the treatment of SLE. This study is "double-blinded", which means that neither the trial participants nor the study doctors will know who will be given upadacitinib and who will be given placebo (does not contain treatment drug) . This study comprised of 3 sub studies. In Study 1 and Study 2, study doctors put the participants in 1 of the 2 groups, called treatment arms. Each group receives a different treatment. There is a 1 in 2 chance that participants will be assigned to placebo. Eligible participants from Study 1 and Study 2 will enter Study 3 at week 52 to receive specific doses of upadacitinib based on their disease activity and their original treatment assignment in Study 1 or 2. Approximately 500 participants diagnosed with SLE will be enrolled in each of the Study 1 and Study 2 in approximately 320 sites across the world. Participants will receive oral tablets of upadacitinib or matching placebo once daily for 52 weeks in Study 1 and Study 2. Eligible participants from Study 1 and Study 2 will receive oral tablets of upadacitinib once daily for 52 weeks in Study 3. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease causing pain, stiffness, swelling and loss of joint function. This study will assess how safe and effective upadacitinib is in treating RA when compared to adalimumab in adult participants with inadequate response or intolerance to one TNF-inhibitor who are on a stable dose of methotrexate (MTX). Adverse events and change in disease activity will be assessed. Upadacitinib is an approved drug for the treatment of RA. This study is double-blinded means that neither the participants nor the study doctors will know who will be given upadacitinib and who will be given adalimumab. Study doctors put the participants in 1 of the 2 groups, called treatment arms randomly, to receive either upadacitinib or adalimumab. There is 1 in 2 chance that participants will receive adalimumab. Each group consists of 2 periods. Approximately 480 participants diagnosed with RA will be enrolled in approximately 250 sites across the world. Participants will receive the oral upadacitinib once daily and matching adalimumab placebo every other week, or the subcutaneous adalimumab every other week and matching upadacitinib placebo once daily during Period 1. Eligible participants will continue to receive same study treatment in Period 2 as assigned in Period 1 and will be followed for 30 days and 70 days. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of zetomipzomib (30 mg or 60 mg) compared with placebo in achieving renal response after 52 weeks of treatment in patients with active lupus nephritis (LN).
This study aims at evaluating the effect of a topical product on the improvement of quality of life and pain of patients suffering from atopic dermatitis or other skin diseases with dryness or severe xerosis. Patients aged 16 years and over are asked to apply the product once or twice a day for 2 months. They may be prescribed a corticosteroid upon decision of the dermatologist.
Functional constipation (FC) is a common healthcare problem in children of all ages, potentially due to genetic predisposition, inadequate fiber and fluid intake, and immobility. Currently, there are no pharmacological therapies approved for the treatment of FC. This study will assess adverse events and change in disease activity with linaclotide therapy in participants with FC. Linaclotide is an approved drug being developed for the treatment of FC in pediatric patients who meet modified Rome IV criteria for childhood FC. In Part 1 of this study, participants are placed in 3 groups, which occur consecutively. Each group receives a different dosage of linaclotide. In Part 2 of the study, participants will be randomly assigned to receive either linaclotide or placebo. There is a 1 in 2 chance that participants will be assigned to placebo. Approximately 30 pediatric participants 6 months to less than 2 years of age with FC will be enrolled in the study at about 25 sites worldwide. Participants will receive oral solution of linaclotide prepared from capsule by parent/guardian once daily for 4 weeks. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care (due to study procedures). Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate if milvexian is at least as effective as apixaban for reducing the risk of the composite stroke and non-central nervous system (CNS) systemic embolism.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate that milvexian is superior to placebo, in addition to standard-of-care, in reducing the risk of major adverse cardiovascular event (MACE) (the composite of cardiovascular [CV] death, myocardial infarction [MI], and ischemic stroke).
This comprehensive scientific research will investigate the influence of the weight-bearing mechanical axis on foot and ankle following total knee arthroplasty. Few studies have monitored the outcome of surgical treatment using similair methods, and consequently the aim of this study was to evaluate the change in upper and lower leg load by analyzing radiographic recordings and pedobarographic measurements after the implantation of total knee endoprosthesis. In addition to objective instruments, knee and foot questionnaires will be used to describe the functional outcome of the operation of the subjects. The practical contribution of this research lies in the prediction of possible changes in the joints of the feet depending on the type of knee deformity (varus / valgus). Our research will consist of: analysis of postero-anterior radiographs of the lower extremity (weight-bearing) preoperatively and at the follow-up three months postoperatively, pedobarographic analyzes preoperatively and at the control examination three months postoperatively, analysis of personal data (age, gender, weight and height, operated side) and completion of functional standardized questionnaires (AOFAS, KOOS) preoperatively, and at the screening three months postoperatively.
