NCT ID: NCT06029972 Recruiting - Ulcerative Colitis Clinical Trials

Study of Tilpisertib Fosmecarbil in Participants With Moderately to Severely Active Ulcerative Colitis

PALEKONA
Start date: December 5, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this study is to learn if tilpisertib fosmecarbil (formerly known as GS-5290) is effective and safe in treating participants with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis. The study will compare participants in different treatment groups treated with tilpisertib fosmecarbil with participants treated with placebo. The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy of tilpisertib fosmecarbil, compared to placebo control, in achieving Clinical Response at Week 12.

Start date: November 14, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main aim of this study is to check the safety and effectiveness of tildrakizumab regarding the alleviation of symptoms in the genital area after administration according to the summary of product characteristics (SmPC) and to access overall treatment safety and quality of life assessed on multiple scales.

NCT ID: NCT06025578 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Progressive Pulmonary Fibrosis

Start date: October 25, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of BMS-986278 in Participants with Progressive Pulmonary Fibrosis.

NCT ID: NCT06025526 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Diseases

Effectiveness of the Aktivplan Digital Intervention (ACTIVE-CaRe Pilot)

Start date: October 2, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical pilot / feasibility study is to determine the feasibility of conducting a large-scale clinical effectiveness trial of the aktivplan digital intervention in cardiac rehabilitation patients. The main questions this study aims to answer are: - Is it feasible to conduct a large-scale (fully powered) effectiveness trial of the aktivplan digital intervention? - What is the usability, user experience and user acceptance of the aktivplan digital intervention? Patients enrolled in a phase II cardiac rehabilitation programme will be randomly allocated to either the intervention group (aktivplan digital intervention) ot the usual care control group and followed-up for 10 weeks after discharge from cardiac rehabilitation. Patients in the intervention group will be given the aktivplan application (app) on their smartphone. A rehabilitation professional will plan a personalised heart-healthy physical activity plan together with the patient and enter it to the aktivplan app. The patient will be asked to follow their personal physical activity plan for 10 weeks, using the aktivplan app to document completed physical activity sessions. Patients in the control group will receive the usual standard of care without the aktivplan digital intervention. Researchers will analyse information such as the rate of recruitment, participant attrition, data completeness and technical stability of the app to determine the feasibility of conducting a large-scale clinical effectiveness trial.

NCT ID: NCT06025123 Recruiting - Hypothermia Clinical Trials

Prehospital Resuscitation Intranasal Cooling Effectiveness Survival Study 2

PRINCESS2
Start date: March 27, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this clinical trial is to study the impact of ultra-early transnasal evaporative cooling after cardiac arrest and subsequent hypothermia at hospital, on survival with complete neurologic recovery, compared to currently recommended normothermia. The study population will consist of patients 18-79 years old, with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest with initial shockable rhythm. The main research question it aims to answer is whether there is a difference in survival with complete neurologic recovery at 90 days after cardiac arrest between the group of patients that received ultra-early cooling, compared to the group that was treated with normothermia. Participants will be randomized to two groups. One group (the intervention group) will receive ultra-early trans-nasal evaporative cooling initiated by EMS personnel at the scene of the cardiac arrest, and subsequent systemic hypothermia for 24 hours at hospital arrival. The other group (the control group), will receive standard of care (advanced cardiac life support and normal body temperature (normothermia)).

NCT ID: NCT06022393 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Functional Movement Disorder

CBT Training for Cognitive Reappraisal as an Intervention for Patients With Functional Tremor - an EEG Study

Start date: August 16, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this psychological study is to evaluate the effect of a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) intervention aimed at improving cognitive reappraisal on (1) Clinical and Self-Rated Health according to Patient Global Impression-Change (PGI-C), Patient Global Impression-Severity (PGI-S), Clinical Global Impression-Change (CGI-C) and Clinical Global Impression-Severity (CGI-S) after 4 weeks, (2) the change in the severity of the functional movement disorder/tremor as assessed by a blinded clinician using the Simplified Version of the Psychogenic Movement Disorders Rating Scale (S-FMDRS) after 4 weeks and (3) the change in the severity of functional tremor assessed via the Fahn Tolosa Marin Tremor Rating Scale (FTM) after 4 weeks. The knowledge gained about the introspective and neurobiological effect of this cognitive behavioral therapy intervention should enable improved therapy options for patients with functional tremor / functional motor disorders in the future.
