NCT ID: NCT05392738 Enrolling by invitation - Lenses, Intraocular Clinical Trials

Visual Function and Patient Satisfaction in Glaucoma or Ocular Hypertensive Patients Undergoing Simultaneous Cataract Surgery and i-Stent Implantation

Start date: June 20, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

New extended depth of focus intraocular lenses (IOLs) are being used in a broader spectrum of patients than trifocal IOLs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate visual improvement after cataract surgery in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension undergoing simultaneous cataract surgery with i-Stent implantation with the implantation of a Vivity IOL. Results will be compared with a group of glaucoma or ocular hypertension undergoing isolated cataract surgery with Vivity implantation, as well as with patients with no pathology undergoing cataract surgery and Vivity implantation

NCT ID: NCT05386160 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetic Retinopathy

Phacoemulsification Combined With Intravitreal Injection of Ranibizumab Prevent Postoperative Capillary Non-perfusion Zone Progress in Non-proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy

Start date: July 1, 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Diabetic retinopathy has been found progress in 20-70% diabetic patient after cataract phacoemulsification surgery. Intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF Ranibizumab is an important treatment for diabetic retinopathy including non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR). However, there is no research about phacoemulsification surgery combine Intravitreal injection of Ranibizumab on diabetic retinopathy. The research focus on the effect of phacoemulsification surgery combine intravitreal injection of Ranibizumab on mild non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy and explore the reasons for differences in treatment outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT05377515 Completed - Cataract Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Visual Outcomes in Patients With Complex Corneas Implanted With the IC-8 IOL

Start date: February 10, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The purpose of this study is to evaluate visual outcomes in patients with complex corneas who have been previously implanted with the IC-8 IOL after cataract removal.

NCT ID: NCT05376917 Recruiting - Cataract Clinical Trials

Quality of Life Evaluation After Cataract Surgery Using 4 Types of Intraocular Lens Implant Combinations

ELVIRA4
Start date: January 30, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is multicenter, prospective, comparative and randomized study focusing on the evolution of the quality of Life and Uncorrected Binocular Visual Acuity (UBVA) evaluation at 3 months after cataract surgery in patients who underwent 4 different types of intraocular lens Implant (IOL) combinations.

NCT ID: NCT05372315 Completed - Cataract Clinical Trials

Efficacy of Dextenza Insert in Upper vs Lower Punctum Following Cataract Surgery With PCIOL.

DEXTENZA
Start date: June 15, 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

To assess the safety and effectiveness of treatment with an intracanalicular dexamethasone (0.4mg) insert in the operating room following cataract surgery/intraocular lens implant (IOL) with or without iStent/Hydrus/Goniotomy when placed in the lower punctum compared to the upper punctum.

Start date: November 18, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A multi-center, open-label, non-comparative clinical trial to assess the safety and efficacy of the LensGen IOL (Juvene IOL) for the treatment of aphakia and presbyopia after removal of the natural crystalline lens due to cataract.

NCT ID: NCT05359380 Completed - Cataract Clinical Trials

The Impact of Light Conditions on the Efficacy of Multifocal Intraocular Lens Implantation in Activities of Daily Living

Start date: September 15, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Primary objective of this study is to identify the optimal task lighting conditions (in terms of light intensity and light temperature) for 10 activities of daily living (ADLs) that require near or intermediate vision acuity in a validated ADL simulation framework for a sample of patients who underwent presbyopic correction with bilateral multifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs) implantation, and to compare their capacity to perform ADLs (ADL scores) between three study groups (SG): SG1. patients implanted bilaterally with trifocal diffractive IOLs, SG2. patients implanted bilaterally with bifocal hybrid (diffractive-refractive) IOLs, SG3. patients implanted bilaterally with monofocal IOLs
