The study aims to evaluate the efficacy of a third TKI after two previous lines of therapy with TKIs, in terms of median progression free survival (mPFS), in patients affected by metastatic renal cancer cell. Patients receiving the sequence Sunitinib- Axitinib, will receive Sorafenib. Patients receiving the sequence Pazopanib-Sorafenib, will receive Sunitinib. Sorafenib dosage 400mg orally, twice a day. Sunitinib dosage 50 mg 4 weeks on followed by 2 weeks a rest. The therapy will be continued until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.

The purpose of this study is to compare changes in the body's self-defense (immune response) after two different treatments for small kidney tumors: 1) Cryoablation (freezing) therapy in which the tumor and a margin of normal kidney tissue are frozen and thawed twice with a needle probe and 2) radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in which radiofrequency energy delivered through a needle probe is used to heat tissue and thereby destroy a tumor.

This randomized phase II trial studies how well pazopanib hydrochloride with or without ascorbic acid work in treating patients with kidney cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic) or cannot be removed by surgery. Pazopanib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Ascorbic acid may help pazopanib hydrochloride stop tumor growth and improve treatment survival. Giving pazopanib hydrochloride and ascorbic acid may work better in treating patients with kidney cancer.
