Filter by:This is a prospective, international, multi-center, non-randomized, single arm, open-label, postmarketing study to investigate the formation of inhibitory anti-C1-INH antibodies in HAE subjects treated intravenously with Berinert. Individual treatment duration per subject is 9 months, irrespective of the number of treated attacks. All subjects will receive 20 IU Berinert/kg body weight per attack.
The investigators propose a study to evaluate the safety, local tolerability, convenience, and efficacy of self-administered Icatibant for the treatment of acute attacks of hereditary angioedema. The investigators believe that self administration with Icatibant for treatment of an acute attack of angioedema will not change the time to complete or near complete resolution of symptoms compared to treatment with Icatibant in a medical facility.
The objectives of the study are to: 1. Evaluate the safety and tolerability of subcutaneously administered CINRYZE with recombinant human hyaluronidase (rHuPH20) in subjects with hereditary angioedema (HAE) who previously participated in CINRYZE Study 0624-200 (NCT01095497) 2. Characterize the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of subcutaneously administered CINRYZE with rHuPH20 3. Assess the immunogenicity of CINRYZE following subcutaneous (SC) administration of CINRYZE with rHuPH20
The investigators would like to find out if sitagliptin (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 or DPP4 inhibition), a drug to treat diabetes, affects blood vessel relaxation in healthy people receiving enalapril (angiotensin converting enzyme or ACE inhibition), a blood pressure medicine. Understanding how these drugs interact in healthy people will help us learn their potential effects in people who have diabetes.
This is a non-interventional treatment Registry of Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) patients treated with C1 inhibitor, either plasma-derived (pdC1INH) or the recombinant human form (rhC1INH / Ruconest), to observe adverse events and insufficient efficacy, and to assess the immunological profile following single and repeated treatment with Ruconest.
HGT-FIR-086 is a multicenter, open-label, non-randomized, single-arm study to evaluate the Pharmacokinetics, tolerability,safety, and efficacy on reproductive hormones, of a single subcutaneous (SC) administration of icatibant in approximately 30 pediatric subjects with Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) during an initial acute attack.
This clinical study was designed based on our hypothesis that vitamin D plays an important role in chronic urticaria and that high dose supplementation with vitamin D in subjects with chronic urticaria will improve clinical response. This clinical study will investigate our hypothesis in three Specific Aims: 1. Determine whether high dosing vitamin D supplementation (4000 IU/day) reduces medication usage (primary outcome) and urticaria severity score (secondary outcome) in subjects with chronic urticaria as compared to low dosing (600 IU/day). 2. Determine if high dosing of vitamin D (4000 IU/day) is safe and well-tolerated in subjects with chronic urticaria with or without baseline vitamin D deficiency. 3. Investigate whether there is an association with serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels, vitamin D receptor mRNA expression, and chronic urticaria severity.
This open-label study is being conducted to confirm the safety, pharmacokinetic profile and efficacy of Ruconest at a dose of 50 U/kg when used for the treatment of acute angioedema attacks in patients, from 2 up to and including 13 years of age.
A double-blind, randomized, controlled trial comparing the safety and effectiveness of conventional therapy with ecallantide to conventional therapy with placebo.
The purpose of this study is 1. To describe patient characteristics and drug usage among children that are prescribed esomeprazole for the first time and to compare them with patients who are prescribed other proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) or H2-receptor antagonists for the first time. 2. To ascertain all incident hospitalized cases of angioneurotic oedema, pneumonia, gastroenteritis, failure to thrive, convulsions/seizures, acute interstitial nephritis and thrombocytopenia among new users in the three cohorts of esomeprazole, other PPIs and H2-receptor antagonists.
