Cancer Screening Smoking Cessation AND Respiratory Assessment

CASSANDRA
Start date: December 31, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The CASSANDRA project (Cancer Screening, Smoking Cessation, AND Respiratory Assessment) is a project led by SEPAR whose main coordinators are Dr. Luis Seijo, a pulmonologist at the Clínica Universitaria de Navarra, and Dr. Juan Carlos Trujillo-Reyes, a thoracic surgeon at the Hospital de la Santa Creu I Sant Pau and Coordinator of the Thoracic Oncology Area, in addition to the collaboration of a large number of professionals with expertise in lung cancer screening. Despite its proven efficacy, Spain does not yet have a unified lung cancer screening protocol. The aim of the CASSANDRA project is to initiate a national screening program that can join forces with existing smoking cessation programs in Spain, which have proven to be insufficient in reducing the number of people affected by lung cancer. CASSANDRA aims to analyze the feasibility of implementing a lung cancer screening program in Spain implemented in the public health system and carry out a cost-effectiveness analysis

NCT ID: NCT06145750 Recruiting - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Implementing Fragmentomics Into Real World Screening IntervenTions to Evaluate Clinical Utility Among Individuals With Elevated Risk for Lung Cancer

FIRSTLungL301
Start date: October 31, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether availability of DNA Evaluation of Fragments for Early Interception (DELFI) Lung Cancer Screening Test, FirstLook™ to practicing physicians affects overall lung cancer screening rates among their patients who are recommended and eligible for screening based on 2021 United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) but are not up to date with it. DELFI hypothesized that patients in the care of physicians or practice groups who have FirstLook™ will have increased lung screening rates compared to patients in the care of physicians or practice groups who do not have access to FirstLook™.

NCT ID: NCT06145048 Recruiting - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Phase 2B Safety and Efficacy Study of VGT-309 in Subjects With Cancer in the Lung.

VISUALIZE
Start date: October 5, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 2, multi-center, open-label study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of VGT-309, a tumor-targeted, activatable fluorescent imaging agent, in subjects undergoing surgery for proven or suspected cancer in the lung. Approximately 100 subjects will be enrolled to ensure at least 86 subjects are evaluable with the option to expand enrollment by protocol amendment if deemed necessary by the DSC to meet primary and/or secondary objectives.

NCT ID: NCT06141005 Not yet recruiting - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Feasibility of Bronchial Washing Fluid for Molecular Testing With Next Generation Sequencing in Lung Cancer

Start date: November 30, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a single center, clinical trial evaluating the relevance of intratumoral washing for detection of generic alteration with Next Generation Sequencing.

NCT ID: NCT06136923 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

An Exploratory Study to Evaluate Attention Biases in Adults With Multiple Sclerosis, Breast Cancer, and Lung Cancer

Start date: October 19, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

CT-100 is a platform that provides interactive, software based therapeutic components that may be used as part of a treatment in future software-based prescription digital therapeutics. One class of CT-100 components are Digital Neuro-activation and Modulation (DiNaMo) components. DiNaMo components target key neural systems (including but not limited to systems related to sensory-, perceptual-, affective-, pain-, attention-, cognitive control, social- and self-processing) to optimally improve a participant's health.

NCT ID: NCT06135545 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Bupivacaine Liposome Serrate Anterior Plane Block vs Traditional Thoracic Paravertebral Block

Start date: November 18, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this study, patients will receive bupivacaine liposome serratus anterior plane block or ropivacaine paraspinal block to manage postoperative pain. Follow-up visits will be conducted to investigate the patient's postoperative pain and recovery quality. The investigators hypothesize that the simple and safe serratus anterior plane block with a novel long-acting local anesthetic (bupivacaine liposome) has analgesic efficacy and recovery quality that is not inferior to the currently commonly used bupivacaine paraspinal block.

NCT ID: NCT06133816 Active, not recruiting - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Lung Cancer Screening Eligibility Assessment

Start date: July 31, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose of this study evaluate if different messaging impacts response rates to a brief survey (i.e., the simplified eligibility tool) that is designed to estimate pack-year eligibility for lung cancer screening (LCS). This will help inform the best way to increase response rates to the tool in future intervention studies designed to increase LCS, and expand upon survey methodology in general.

NCT ID: NCT06132607 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

3D Lung Reconstructions Using Open-source Software for Lung Cancer Surgery

3D-LUNG
Start date: December 21, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Preoperative three-dimensional (3D) lung reconstructions can reduce intraoperative blood loss, conversion rate, and operation duration. Commercial products predominantly provide these 3D reconstructions, hence the aim of this study was to assess the usability and performance of preoperative 3D lung reconstructions created with open-source software.

NCT ID: NCT06131645 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

IASLC Grading System as a Predictor for EGFR-TKI Therapy

Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The investigators previously validated the grading system proposed by International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) for invasive nonmucinous lung adenocarcinoma (LADC) for its reproducibility, prognostication function and predictive value of adjuvant chemotherapy (ACT). In this exploratory study, the investigators aimed to investigate the role of IASLC grading system in EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy selection either as adjuvant or palliative therapy.

Ventilation Imaging to Improve the Quality of Life for Patients With Lung Cancer Treated With Radiation Therapy

VITaL
Start date: December 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This research project is testing a new treatment planning method for patients with lung cancer who will be treated with radiation therapy. This new method is called Computed Tomography (CT) ventilation imaging. It aims to help protect the healthiest parts of patient's lungs from being injured by the radiation therapy. The investigators will determine whether healthy lung sparing can improve the quality of life in these patients.
