View clinical trials related to Gastritis.
Filter by:This study aims to assess whether iScan, an intra-endoscopic imaging technique is an accurate and reliable tool in detecting and characterising Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) and comparing this to standard endoscopic imaging with white light endoscopy (WLE), narrow band imaging (NBI) and histology.
The purpose of this study is evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of EUPASIDIN-S Tab. in Gastritis Patients.
Atrophic gastritis (AG) is a chronic disease, associated to gastric adenocarcinoma moreover if severity AG is present. Sydney system classified AG as mild, moderate and severe, but with moderate interobserver agreement, due to this system is based in a visual analogic scale (qualitative analysis). Confocal endomicroscopy showed an accuracy of 98% for diagnosis gastric diseases, but when grading AG still remains a qualitative measure. Recently, a new software called "Cellvizio® Viewer" (CV) permits to measure in micrometers (µm) the structures observed after confocal laser endomicroscopy probe studies. Based on the hypothesis that AG severity is correlated with crypts size diminution, the aim of this study is to determine a quantitative way to classify the severity of AG measuring the crypt area and inter-crypt spaces in patients with AG.
The study is aimed to determine the potential of volatile marker testing for identification of gastrointestinal cancers (in particular - colorectal and gastric cancers), the related precancerous lesions in the stomach and colon. The study will be addressing the role of confounding factors, including lifestyle factors, diet, smoking as well as addressing the potential role of microbiota in the composition of exhaled volatile markers.
This study aims at evaluating efficacy and safety of berberine-containing quadruple therapy(berberine, esomeprazole, clarithromycin and amoxicillin) versus bismuth-containing quadruple therapy (bismuth, esomeprazole, clarithromycin and amoxicillin) in H. pylori eradication. It is hypothesized that berberine-containing quadruple therapy is non-inferior to bismuth-containing quadruple therapy. Patients with confirmed H. pylori positive status will be randomized to one of the treatments described above. At week 2 and 6 follow-up visits, a urea breath test(UBT) will be performed to confirm eradication.
Randomized, Placebo-Controlled, Phase 3 Trial of RHB-102 (BEKINDA) (Ondansetron 24 mg Bimodal Release Tablets) for Acute Gastroenteritis. The study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of RHB-102 (BEKINDA) in treating Acute Gastroenteritis, by comparing it to placebo.
This study aims to determine the relative bioavailability of two candidate formulations of mosapride citrate 5mg tablets compared the reference product GASMOTIN (mosapride citrate 5mg) from Dainippon Pharmaceutical Company in healthy adult subjects. This will be an open-label, randomised, single dose, three-way crossover, six sequence study. Subjects will receive a single oral dose separated by at least 7 days and no greater than 14 days washout period. This study is required to select a candidate mosapride citrate (GR107719B) formulation for further development and provide data to allow the design of a future pivotal bioequivalence study. The candidate formulations will be compared with the innovator GASMOTIN. GASMOTIN is a trademark of Dainippon Sumitomo Pharmaceutical Company.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate effectiveness of ALBIS on Gastroduodenal Mucosal Injury in Patients Receiving Dual Antiplatelet Therapy after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.
The pathophysiology of functional dyspepsia is still unclear but several peptides have been indicated in the etiological factors in FD. Ghrelin and leptin are involved in regulation of appetite and gut motility and serotonin is a typical neurotransmitter related with sensory and motor functions of gut. On the other hand, transient receptor potential vanilloid receptor 1 (TRPV1) has been proposed to be involved with functional gastrointestinal disorder, and expression of this receptor could be regulated by nerve growth factor (NGF) or glial cell-line derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF). The investigators aimed to determine whether expressions of ghrelin, leptin, serotonin,TRPV1,GDNF and NGF in blood or gastric mucosa of FD patients are different from those in healthy controls, and whether some changes of their expression correlate with certain dyspeptic symptoms. The investigators also investigated the effect of H. pylori infection by comparing their expressions before and one year after H. pylori eradication.
30% of ketamine users complain of abdominal discomfort. Long-term ketamine use is associated with hepatotoxicity and pathologic changes to the biliary tract. Yet the prevalence of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathologies in ketamine users has not been well-described. The investigators plan to recruit a large number of ketamine users based on referrals from different Psychiatry clusters in Hong Kong and to investigate the underlying cause of abdominal discomfort, describe the prevalence of different gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathologies and describe their long-term outcome.
