Dual-Task Training for People With Mild Cognitive Impairment and Mild Dementia

Evidence shows that people with dementia have a higher prevalence of sleep disturbance, cognitive decline, behavioral disturbance, and experience motor dysfunction. These symptoms are interrelated. However, few randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies implement dual-task training for mild cognitive impairment and mild dementia, especially for those who experience sleep problems and behavioral disturbances. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of dual-task training in improving global cognitive function, executive function, working memory, sleep, behavioral disturbances, balance, and flexibility among people with mild cognitive impairment and mild dementia. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. . Does dual-task training affect primary outcomes (global cognitive function, executive function, and working memory) 2. . Does dual-task training affect secondary outcomes (including sleep quality, behavioral disturbances, balance, and flexibility) for people with mild cognitive impairment and mild dementia?" The length of dual-task training is 6 weeks; sessions are 3 times per week, each session lasts 45 minutes, and total sessions are 18. While the control group receives the usual care. Researchers will compare the experiment and control groups to see the effect of the dual-task training.

One of the goals in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is the availability of a healthy and prosperous life for all ages. This goal mentions health priorities i.e. non-communicable diseases. Chronic kidney failure (CRF) is one of the non-communicable diseases that is the main cause of death and disability both in the world and in Indonesia. The prevalence of CRF in Indonesia is 0.5% with 83.2% of patients being of productive age and the highest number of CRF patients in North Kalimantan, Southeast Sulawesi, DKI Jakarta and Yogyakarta. Monitoring and evaluation of patients with CRF is currently mostly carried out conventionally not using health technology that is integrated with hospital information systems. This study aims to design and provide a health information system for patients with CRF, hereinafter referred to as SIKIDI, which integrates mobile-health applications used independently by patients with existing information systems in hospitals.

Currently, research on the effect of thiamine administration during transcatheter closure on the structure and function of the left ventricle by examining levels of matrix metalloproteinase-9 and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 in children with left to right shunt congenital heart disease has never been carried out in Indonesia, so it is necessary carried out this research. This research was carried out by administering 100 mg of thiamine once per day to patients post transcatheter closure for 28 days. The parameters assessed were MMP-9, TIMP-1, and echocardiography to assess the structure and function of the left ventricle in CHD patients with left to right shunt lesions.

Shortened Regimen for Drug-susceptible TB in Children

While drug-susceptible tuberculosis (TB) disease in children currently requires four to six months of treatment, most children may be able to be cured with a shorter treatment of more powerful drugs. Shorter treatment may be easier for children to tolerate and finish as well as ease caregiver strain from managing treatment side effects and supporting children over many months. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate if a 2-month regimen (including isoniazid (H), rifapentine (P), pyrazinamide (Z) and moxifloxacin (M)) is as safe and effective as a 4- to 6-month regimen (isoniazid, rifampicin (R), pyrazinamide, ethambutol (E)) in curing drug-susceptible TB disease in children under 10 years old. The study is also evaluating the safety of the HPZM in children with and without HIV.

The goal of this clinical trial is to assess the efficacy and safety or a revised weight band tafenoquine dose in vivax malaria patients. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: - is a revised weight-based TQ regimen (TQRevised: target dose 7.5mg/kg) non-inferior to high dose primaquine (7mg/kg over 7 days) - is a revised weight-based TQ regimen (TQRevised: target dose 7.5mg/kg) superior to fixed dose tafenoquine (300mg) - is the tolerability and safety of TQRevised acceptable - is TQRevised acceptable and feasible Participants will receive a tafenoquine target dose 7.5mg/kg in weight bands. Researchers will compare this to patients receiving a fixed dose tafenoquine and high dose primaquine to see if safe and effective.

Subjects will be randomized to receive investigational Lot 1, Lot 2, Lot 3 vaccine or control vaccine in a 1:1:1:1 ratio, with the subjects in experimental group randomly and equally assigned to three different batches of MCV4 for single-dose vaccination.

MENJAGA: Continuous Quality Improvement for Antenatal HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B Testing in Indonesia

Elimination of mother-to-child-transmission (EMTCT) of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B are key priorities in Indonesia, the fourth most populous country in the world. Despite national guidelines and strong antenatal care attendance, coverage of antenatal screening for these diseases among pregnant women remains extremely limited in Indonesia. The Indonesian government is committed to improving the integration of HIV/syphilis/hepatitis B testing and treatment into the antenatal platform but currently lacks comprehensive evidence on interventions to support this. We will evaluate a low-cost and locally driven intervention based on the principles of continuous quality improvement to strengthen antenatal care and promote screening for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B. Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), which involves local antenatal care (ANC) teams systematically collecting and reflecting on local data to inform the design and implementation of service delivery, has been effectively used to strengthen ANC in a number of Sub-Saharan African countries but yet to be comprehensively evaluated in ANC services in Indonesia. This approach holds considerable promise for Indonesia, a highly populous and diverse country where a 'one size fits all' approach to the delivery of quality ANC rarely applies.

Adherence Toolkit for Managing Nonadherence to HIV Medications in Indonesia

The goal of this usability study and a cluster randomised controlled trial is to investigate the effectiveness of an adherence toolkit as a decision support tool to improve adherence to antiretroviral therapy. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1) is the adherence toolkit useable and acceptable among HIV care providers in Indonesian clinical practice? and 2) is the adherence toolkit superior than the usual care in improving adherence to antiretroviral therapy among people living with HIV in Indonesia? HIV clinics in Surabaya, Indonesia, will be recruited to participate in the study. HIV care providers will be included in the usability study, whereas people living with HIV will be enrolled in the cluster randomised controlled trial. People living with HIV will be randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to the control group receiving usual HIV care and the intervention group receiving an intervention using the adherence toolkit in addition to usual HIV care.
