There are about 28871 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Canada. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study will evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of single and multiple doses of ATH-399A in healthy adults and also evaluate the effect of food on ATH-399A in order to develop mechanism-based and/or disease-modifying treatments for Parkinson Disease.
A study to evaluate impact of Obicetrapib on PK levels of Atorvastatin and Rosuvastatin
Facemasks may impede communication. Impaired communication may worsen healthcare outcomes. This study explores the problem of hearing impairment in chronic pain patients, and the impact of facemasks on healthcare outcomes in chronic pain patients. Data collection includes patient's age, anxiety score, depression score, numeric pain score, and effects of facemasks on treatment outcomes. Pain is measured using numeric pain rating scale. Depression is measured using the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) scale. Anxiety is measured using the General Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) scale.
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare two methods of managing low acuity musculoskeletal complaints in children and adolescents ages 6 to 17.99 years in the pediatric emergency department. The main question it aims to answer is whether delivering care in two methods is feasible. Participants will receive care while in the emergency department and will be followed for a period of 1-month post-presentation.
This is an observational study designed to assess the reliability and consistency of the Optina awAIrTM CAS Test for detecting phenotypic changes in the retina that are associated with beta-amyloid status (positive or negative). The purpose of this study is to ensure that the retinal image capture process is consistent and under control, regardless of the operator or the time of measurement. The study will include enough repeated measurements on different systems, by three operators, and at different times to demonstrate.
The goal of this clinical trial is to determine the postprandial glycemic response of the two starches in humans. Participants will be asked to consume 2 test foods on 2 separate occasions and provide blood glucose samples over 120 minutes postprandial.
The purpose of this study is to compare subjective ratings of lens handling at insertion for a monthly replacement lens versus a daily disposable lens in habitual soft lens wearers.
Open label study to assess relative bioavailability of filgotinib oral mini-tablet versus oral tablet formulation and effect of food on the mini-tablet formulation.
Randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled phase I trial with the primary aim to investigate safety and tolerability of three ascending dosing schemes of DM-101-PX in birch pollen allergic adults. As an explorative objective, the trial will also investigate the effect of DM-101PX on the allergic symptoms following birch pollen allergen exposure in a chamber. Expanded access to the study treatment is not available.
The purpose of the project is to explore the effect of differences in seat height and seat angle on bilateral foot propulsion using a manual wheelchair. The objectives of the study are to determine whether differences in seat height and seat angle impact: a) propulsion speed; b) knee range of motion used during propulsion; c) effectiveness of foot propulsion gait; and d) perceived difficulty with foot propulsion. A repeated measures designs allows comparison between 5 different seat height conditions and 4 different seat angle conditions to determine whether there are significant differences in outcome, and if so, which conditions provide better outcomes. Participants will propel a customized MWC through a standardized course using each seat configuration; the sequence will be randomized to reduce any learning effects.
