NCT ID: NCT06036576 Completed - Thyroid Diseases Clinical Trials

Thyroxine Therapy for Recurrent Pregnancy Loss in Hypothyroid Women

Start date: March 1, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate the influence of thyroxine supplementation on pregnancy outcomes in women with varying levels of Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH), who have experienced recurrent pregnancy loss in the first trimester. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Does thyroxine treatment improve pregnancy outcomes in women with TSH levels between 2.5 mU/L and 4 mU/L? - Is the effect of thyroxine treatment different in women with TSH levels higher than 4 mU/L? Participants will be grouped based on their TSH levels, into two groups - those with TSH levels between 2.5 mU/L and 4 mU/L, and those with TSH levels higher than 4 mU/L. They will then be given thyroxine treatment. Researchers will compare these two groups to see if the pregnancy outcomes differ based on the different TSH levels and thyroxine treatment.

NCT ID: NCT06001060 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Miscarriage

Distinct Alterations in Gut Microbiota Composition Among Women of Reproductive Age With Elevated Homocysteine Levels.

Start date: October 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this observational study is to test the alterations of gut microbiota composition among women of reproductive age with elevated homocysteine levels. The main question it aims to answer is: • the relationship between gut microbiota composition and recurrent abortion. Participants will provide their stool samples to be detected the composition of gut microbiota. . Researchers will compare women of reproductive age with normal homocysteine levels to see if any bacteria were involved in recurrent miscarriages.

NCT ID: NCT05998421 Completed - Acupuncture Clinical Trials

The Effects of Acupuncture on the Natural Pregnancy in Patients With Recurrent Abortion

Start date: March 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) is a common pregnancy complication in women of reproductive age and the cause of RSA remains largely unclear. Acupuncture is widely used in clinical practice to treat infertility and abortion. The role of acupuncture in the treatment of infertility is still unclear. The investigators conducted a randomized, prospective, controlled clinical trial to investigate its potential impact on pregnancy outcome. Herein, the investigators not only evaluated the changes in patients' psychological stress before and after treatment but also followed up on pregnancy outcomes. In addition, changes in uterine artery blood flow were observed by ultrasound. Changes in coagulation-related indicators were also detected.

NCT ID: NCT05864937 Completed - Mutation Clinical Trials

C677T Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase Mutation

C677T
Start date: December 1, 2011
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To investigate the effect of anticoagulant treatment on pregnancy outcomes in patients with previous recurrent miscarriages (RM) who carry a methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene mutation. In this longitudinal retrospective study, patients with RM were treated during pregnancy with either: (i) 100 mg/day aspirin and 5 mg/day folic acid (group 1); or the same protocol plus 0.4 mg/day enoxaparin (group 2). An age-matched group of triparous women without RM or thrombophilia was used as the control group (group 3).

NCT ID: NCT05680376 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Miscarriage

Thyroid Hormone Values and Anti-thyroid Peroxidase Antibody Positivity in Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

Start date: January 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to compare the thyroid hormone values and anti-thyroid peroxidase (anti-TPO) levels of women with a diagnosis of recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) and healthy pregnancies. The primary objective is to find out the relationship between recurrent pregnancy loss with thyroid hormone levels and anti-TPO positivity.

NCT ID: NCT05437471 Completed - Clinical trials for Miscarriage, Recurrent

Effects of Co-treatment on Endometrial abv3-integrin Expressions in Women With Recurrent Implantation Failure

Start date: January 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To compare the abv3-integrin expression in endometrium tissue among RIF women between the GnRH analogue with Aromatase Inhibitor (Group A) , GnRH analogue with progesterone (Group B) and GnRH analogue alone as control group (Group C)

NCT ID: NCT05342948 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

Association of HY-restricting HLA Class II Alleles, Sex of Firstborn Child, and Pregnancy Outcome in RPL Patients

Start date: January 1, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This cross-sectional and prospective cohort study will investigate if sRPL patients with a first born boy who carry ≥1 HY-restricting (HY-r) HLA class II alleles are associated with a lower chance for a succesful reproductive outcome in first pregnancy after admission compared to sRPL patients with a first born girl carrying ≥1 HY-r HLA class II alleles and women with no HY-r HLA class II alleles and a firstborn boy. Also, the study will compare sRPL patients with a firstborn boy who do not carry a HY-r HLA class II allele with sRPL patients having a firstborn girl and carrying no such alleles. We hypothesize that sRPL patients with a first born boy compared to sRPL patients with a firstborn girl who carry ≥1 HY-r HLA class II alleles is associated with a negative prognosis, while no association between sex of firstborn child and pregnancy outcome is expected in sRPL carrying no HY-r HLA class II alleles. Neither do we expect an association between pregnancy outcome and carriage of HY-r HLA class II alleles in pRPL patients.

NCT ID: NCT05205044 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

Evaluation of Apelin-13 and Apelin-36 in Women With Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

Start date: January 23, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Lower Apelin levels are associated with hypertensive disorders with pregnancy, yet no studies investigated its levels in recurrent pregnancy loss

NCT ID: NCT05190796 Completed - Abortion, Recurrent Clinical Trials

Platelet Indices and Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

Start date: September 1, 2020
Phase:

The aim of this study was to evaluate relationship between platelet indices, red blood cell indices and recurrent pregnancy loss.

NCT ID: NCT04960982 Completed - Clinical trials for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Changes in Pregnancy in Egyptian Women With History of Recurrent Miscarriage

Start date: March 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Introduction: Elevated levels of androgen and insulin-resistant have been implicated in recurrent miscarriage in women with PCOS. Published data are scarce on androgen level and cervical length of women with and without PCOS and a history of miscarriage. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the levels of testosterone (TT), Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG), Dehyroepiandrostenedione (DHEA) and cervical length in Egyptian women with and without history PCOS and history of RM during pregnancy . Method: Pregnant women with (n=38) and without (n=40) PCOS and history of recurrent miscarriages were recruited from the Obstetrics Department, Alagoza Hospital, Cairo, Egypt. Healthy pregnant women without PCOS and history of RM (n=40, HC) were also recruited. TT, SHBG,DHEA and Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) level and cervical length were assessed at first, second and the third trimester or at the start of miscarriage
